Equipment Loan Banks Program

Try Before You Buy
ATRC offers a wide variety of AT equipment loaned free of charge through centers across the state. Short term equipment loans are designed to help individuals try equipment before they buy. The loan centers also help fill a gap while personal equipment is on order or being repaired.

All individuals with disabilities, their families, as well as service personnel and care providers living within the state are eligible for free equipment loans from one day to six weeks. The length of the loan may vary according to loan centers' criteria and demand for equipment by other borrowers.

Borrowers may have equipment shipped to neighbor islands, but must pay for the return shipping charge and any insurance costs.

Some of the AT equipment includes augmentative communication devices, computer access devices/software switches, environmental control devices, adapted toys/games, devices for individuals with hearing disabilities, devices for individuals with visual disabilities, and personal care aid devices for daily living.
